I am a certified proofreader and copy-editor, achieving a distinction grade in my diploma with the College of Media and Publishing. I have a passion for the English language and am rarely seen without a book in my hand!

Proofreading or copy-editing? What is the difference?
Proofreading
As a proofreader I would look at the spelling, punctuation, grammar, formatting and editorial style of your copy.
Copy-editing
As a copy-editor I would look at the structure of sentences, the flow and the use of language for your intended audience, check facts such as dates, names, times, calculations, etc, and also do a full proofread. Copy editing can be done to a variety of levels to suit your needs.
